Kohl’s scam

Posted in Shopping on November 25th, 2007 by moody

thief.jpg Just wanted to share little episode which happened at Kohl’s today and it really pissed me off.
I had a $50 gift card from my parents for retailer Kohl’s and I went to buy me some dockers for work. Everything in the store was on “sale”. Everything. Red sales stickers everywhere. Before I start looking for pants I went to the shirt department to buy one more shirt that I bought last week at this same store but different color. I noticed that big red sales sticker said:” 50% off Reg$40 - SALE $19.95″. Last time when there was no Black Friday or thanksgiving sale same shirt was $30 but it was on sale for $14.95, but this time when there is a “big sale” in town, same shirt costs $19.95 on SALE. Are you fucking kidding me? Anyway, I put the shirt down and went to pants department.
I fond two pairs that I wanted. The big red SALES sticker said “Price $29.95 SALE price given at the register”. So I thought my $50 gift card would cover both pairs nicely given the discount which is given at the register. Not so. Once I got to the register sales person said $63 something. I told her about what the big sales sticker said and she said that $29.95 IS the sales price. Either she was stupid or was jerking me around.I could not take someone taking me for a fool so I’ve asked her to come with me to the stand where I found dockers despite long line behind me.
Following can be explained through my conversation with her.

We got to the pants department and I said: Read the rest of this entry »

True story.

crankyface.jpg My wife and I love sparkling water or mineral water, and we usually get few bottles every week from Meijer. They cost $0.69 per bottle, but the problem is they are always out, which means people are buying it.

Last couple of weeks we were sparkling waterless.

Anyway, few weeks ago I went to Meijer to get some mineral water and guess what? They were out again. I took a piece of paper and wrote down:

Dear Meijer management team, Read the rest of this entry »
