None of us (sane ones) are really surprised when we hear demeaning remarks from Fox News commentators, but the latest Fred Barnes comment kinda surprised me. Even heavy capitalist-hitter Brit Hume apologized and distanced himself from this fascist bigot. All I can say is: wow! See it for yourself.
In a normal and healthy society, this guy would be out in the streets long time ago, but we know that’s not going to happen.

  Just thought I’d pay tribute to the God (no pun intended) himself since he turned 70 this year.

I just wanted to post my thoughts about news and media role in todays events.
Let me tell you one thing.
I am originally from Balkans (living in US now) and I lived through the horror of war and I know what media can do to the nation.
I can see how most Americans are pro-Israel. It is hard not to be when every news channel is pro-Israel. No exceptions. It is almost like brain washing. It is the same in Middle East with Arab stations.
The only real news are the ones you get first hand on the battle ground, and most of us will never have privilege to do that, so i suggest doing what I do. Read the rest of this entry »

I still like the guy and I do think he deserved “best player” award. We all had our moments when consequences really didn’t matter. Everyone has a boiling point. For a player of that caliber and age to explode like that, Materazzi must’ve said something really serious, and it had to be through out the whole game. I am on Zidane’s side as of now.

You mean to tell me that he went in there without making sure that God does exists? And I though suicide bombers were idiots. People do strange things for religious reasons but I am kind of confused here. Did this guy believe in God or not?

A few Rants I have been pondering… Something to stir the POT.

• We are constantly studied to see how we will react under stress. Orson Well’s Martian invasion in 1938 was designed to demonstrate the power of the “news” to deceive.
• The power blackout in the Northeast was probably another study of mass behavior.

• The bird flu is coming to get us. Someone is burning black churches. Illegal aliens are flooding the country (despite the “heightened security” mandated by the “war on terror.”)
• Jesus asked Judas to betray him.

Ok, I don’t ask for much. I only want spring to mean just that: spring! I don’t want the biggest snow storm of season to hit the Midwest on the first day of Spring precisely at the time I want to go home to Louisville……

Milosevic’s death transported him to his final destination: Hell. But, he continues to haunt us from the dead. His body was laid for public viewing in the Museum of 25th Maj, right next to Tito’s grave. Ok, how disgusting and idiotic do you have to be to place the body of a mass murderer who caused 4 wars and flushed the country down the toilet next to Tito, a person who, albeit contraveresial, build up a beautiful and working country which held together in peace and harmony for over 40 years. Over 100 representatives and foreign heads of state came to Tito’s funeral in 1980, including President Carter’s mother, and Milosevic’s funeral will not be attended even by Serbian heads of state who despised him as much as the Bosnians did. So, to those nationalist idiots who put his coffin next to Tito’s grave: grow up! Nationalism needs to be eradicated….Ah, I feel better.
