Religion brutality
For all of you who think that Islam or Christianity is peaceful religion here are some excerpts from the Quran and Bible.
These are the verces that you will not hear in the church or masque. Just to show you how all religions are absurd.
Lets start with Quran:
Quran brutality
-Then he ordered for [sic] nails which were heated and [the tribesmen] were branded with those nails, their eyes, and they were left in the Harra (i.e. rocky land in Al-Madina). And when they asked for water, no water was given them till they died . . . . (Bukhari, Book of Jihad, no. 3018; cf. online source)
-When the Apostle of Allah . . . cut off (the hands and feet of) those who had stolen his camels and he had their eyes put out by fire (heated nails), Allah reprimanded him on that (action), and Allah, the Exalted, revealed: “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is execution or crucifixion.” (Abu Dawud, no. 4357)
-The Quran in Sura 7:124 says through the mouth of Pharaoh: “Be sure I will cut off your hands and your feet on apposite sides, and I will cause you all to die on the cross.” (Yusuf Ali)
-Here is the torture that Muhammad permitted: When he [Muhammad] asked him about the rest, he refused to produce it, so the apostle gave orders . . . “Torture him until you extract what he has,” so [the torturer] kindled a fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead.
002.191
YUSUFALI: And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.
PICKTHAL: And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.
SHAKIR: And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.
YUSUFALI: (Disdainfully) bending his side, in order to lead (men) astray from the Path of Allah: for him there is disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Judgment We shall make him taste the Penalty of burning (Fire).
PICKTHAL: Turning away in pride to beguile (men) from the way of Allah. For him in this world is ignominy, and on the Day of Resurrection We make him taste the doom of burning.
SHAKIR: Turning away haughtily that he may lead (others) astray from the way of Allah; for him is disgrace in this world, and on the day of resurrection We will make him taste the punishment of burning.
Don’t you just feel love after reading this. Bible is not much better either. Lets see.
Bible’s brutality
-On homosexuality: Leviticus 20:13, “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.â€
Striking your father or mother (Ex.21:15); And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
On kidnapping: (Ex. 21:6 RSV); Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
Cursing your father or mother (Ex. 21:17 RSV, Lev. 20:9); And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
Being a false prophet (Deut. 18:20) But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
Gathering sticks on the Sabbath (Num. 15:32-35); And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the Sabbath day.
And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
Serving or worshipping other gods (Deut. 17:2-5 RSV) If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
On seduction Deuteronomy 13:7-11
“If your brother, the son of your father or of your mother, or your son or daughter, or the spouse whom you embrace, or your most intimate friend, tries to secretly seduce you, saying. “Let us go and serve other gods,†… you must show him no pity, you must not spare
him or conceal his guilt. No, you must kill him, your hand must strike the first blow in putting him to death and the hands of the rest of the people following. You must stone him to death, since he has tried to divert you from Yahweh your God.â€
Now, these are all from the Old Testament, but lets check some of the stuff concerning New testament and specifically good and merciful Jesus.
Luke:26″He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away. Luke:27But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.” Luke:28After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. Luke:29As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, Luke:30″Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. Luke:31If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.’ “
Luke:25Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said:
Luke:26″If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. Luke:27And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
Matthew :27″You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’[e] Matthew :28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew :29If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. Matthew :30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Matthew:3Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? Matthew :4For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’[a] and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
Now, if any of you are offended by this, please don’t blame me. I am just copy/pasting the verses from the Quran and Bible. I didn’t write the damn thing. Actually, you should be offended by these , but you would have to put blame on the “people” who wrote it and who thought it to you.

I was currious – when you quoted the new testemant – What resource did you use –
I am asking this question because I have yet to find any version that includes these Brutal Chapters –
If you would like to critisize the Bible – or anything else I would expect that you would atleast confirm your sources. You speciffically quote Luke:25, and Luke:26 –
The Book of Like ends with Chapter 24 -

This is very typical of a average religious person who does not want to accept what bible says, but wants to accept ONLY what HE thinks that bible says.
I admit that i didn’t include the whole verse (those were not the chapters but verses) number so it is confusing but i was just copy pasting it from my note pad, but nonetheless lets get the record straight.
I took these from biblegateway.com where you can look up verses in 50 different languages. I checked International version, American version and King James Bible version, and they all say same thing. For example:
King James version says “slay them before me” while international says “kill them before me”
Remember this quote for the future
““No man ever believes that the Bible means what it says: He is always convinced that it says what HE meansâ€

Ok I appologize for the Harshness – I also appreciate you pointing out the confusion –
So back to the point at hand….
You are correct -
There are single lines, or versus in the new testimant that display brutality. Words freely spoken from of Jesus with clearly brutal requests, descriptions, and even requests.
I will not argue that point – Ill simply ask you to explain the point you are makeing.

Just because there are violent parts to Religion, does not mean that there are not good parts.
Religion was probably our first form of government, without it, we wouldn’t have the civilizations that we do today…

I agree partially, but that was not my point. My point was that peaceful religious followers don’t follow what their book is saying. They follow what THEY think their book is saying and not what it actually says(see above) Fundamental extremist are. Extremists are the ones that actually follow it to the word as the word of God. Muslims more then Christians. That is why you see more brutality in Islam these days then in Christianity. It is only because Muslims are following their Koran to the word while Christians and Catholics are making shit up as they see fit.
For example: Leviticus 20:13 says all gays should be put to death. Extremist are actually for it, while peaceful Christians are against it. So extremist are only following what their book is saying. In my opinion they’re both very wrong and immoral.
If majority of Christians actually followed Bible we would be executing gays on the streets, putting to death kids that disobey their parents and stoning people collecting sticks on sabbath. If people cannot see through that bullshit, I am sorry but I will have to agree with Richard Dawkings that they’re all are delusional.
Religious books (Koran and Bible) are not only wrong, brutal and errant but they’re waste of time to even read. I read both Koran and Bible (twice) and I am glad that I did to see whats all the fuss about, but the second time I read it I realized that I am really wasting my time here. It is a fairy tale too brutal to be told to your kids.
Peace
