It has been almost two years since I had my last puff, and I can probably say that I now feel like I almost never smoked. I use word "almost" because i still have miniature desires to light up the cigarette when i see someone smoking or when I smell the smoke. However, those are so short lived that I can regard them as meaningless.
I did smoke a cigar one time but did not inhale it.
I don't think I will ever get back to smoking again.

It has been 2 weeks and 2 days since my last puff of cigarette. I gotta tell you, I feel great.
Probably one of the smartest things I did with my life, but i am not out of the woods yet.
I think after 3 months of being nocotine free, you can say that you quit.

Day 8,9,10

Not much to report on these days except that I for the first time since my quit I've tested myself with alcohol without cigarette.
First test was at the friends house where he prepared little snack and beer. Snack consisted of Bulgarian cheese, Italian prsuto and home grown tomatoes. To cap that off with soccer game. Let me tell you, very tempting to smoke, but I didn't. It WAS hard not to smoke but I didn't take a puff.
Later that day my wife and I went to Red Lobster and I had glass of wine. Almost not tempted at all.
Conclusion: I think ex-smoker can drink socially with no fear of lighting a cigarette.

 Day 7

Right now, cigarette is not the first thing on my mind when I wake up. It is probably second or third thing on my mind. Which is a good progress i think.
I think I am holding on pretty strong and it is not that hard to get over cravings anymore but I didn't experience any stresfull situations yet. Lets pray it will be stress free for at least another week.

Day 6Â

Day 6 just begun. It is little easier then day 5. Looks like cravings are flactuating and have no certain pathern. Just random, which i think it is a good sign.
i think the key of quiting is doing it hour by hour and day by day. Not think too much in advance, but we will see.

Day 5

Day 5 and I have to say it is little bit tougher then yesterday. Not really sure why, but I read that cravings could come in waves. You would think after 5 days that cravings would be weaker when suddenly you might get hit with big ones. Well, I will just wait and see. Hopefuly things will get better after the "hell week".
