KIEV (Reuters) - A man shouting that God would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in Kiev zoo after he crept into the animal’s enclosure, a zoo official said on Monday.

“The man shouted ‘God will save me, if he exists’, lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions,” the official said.

“A lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery.”

I have to quote it again: ” God will save me, if he exists”
You mean to tell me that he went in there without making sure that God does exists? And I though suicide bombers were idiots. People do strange things for religious reasons but I am kind of confused here. Did this guy believe in God or not?

Today’s manic rush to declare a constitutional ban on gay marriage is another example of this administration’s willingness to use bigotry to boost its falling numbers. This is the president who plunged this coutnry into a war in Iraq, caused the most massive deficit in the history, had the least number of jobs created since Herbert Hoover, and has the lowest rating than almost any other president during the second term. It took me 6 years of agonizing research to finally find one thing that I agree with Bush. Immigration reform.

Here is my view (not much different from Bush’s):

1. Don’t let anyone in US illegally
2. All 11 million illegal immigrants have to go back to their country of origin and re-apply for entrance in US through legal channels (tourist visa, work visa or green card)
3. Border patrol needs to be tough and thorough (I don’t think we need “wall of China” but come on! Today’s security is a joke)
